The Speed® Square is the original five-tools-in-one layout square Albert Swanson invented in 1925: try square, miter, saw guide, line scriber, and protractor in one heavy-gauge billet-aluminum body. The One-Number® Method marks common, hip, and valley rafters off a single reference number. The patented Diamond® cutout turns a stud-width seat cut into one motion. The line covers the 7 in. flagship (S0101), the 12 in. Big 12® (S0107) with seven tools plus the Layout Bar for repeat stair and rafter cuts, and the 4½ in. Trim (S0145) with 22½°, 30°, and 67½° angle marks for moulding work.
